MH CET(B.Tech) NRI Application Process

Below are the steps for NRI application through MHCET. I've written this blog as I faced several  challenges during the NRI process for my daughter. I was not able to find the right information at single place. Hope this blog helps for the parents who are looking for NRI route for adimission of their ward in B.Tech.

This process has to be started from March or April for each cycle. 

1.  Access the NRI/OCI/PIO/CIWGC/FN

Or through MHCET Site(click on the link marked below): Home.- State Common Entrance Test Cell (mahacet.org)

               

2.       Click on Register

               

3.       Please fill the details below and click on Save and Proceed 

 

4.       Please fill all required details and click on Save and Poceed.

 

 5.       You will receive the Application Id number starting with FCRXXXXXX

6.       Login after registration

 7.       Fill the registartion section(refer to the documents required at this stage as provided in the next snapshot)

               List of documens required for registrtation as below

Registration fee is INR 1000.00

Importatnt note: Interested in section does no have much significance but fill one or 2 college.

This affidvite has to be done by the sponsor in his residing country.

8.       Once registered and paid the fee, print the registration form.

9.       You have to register to MH CET site

 10.    Provide the details as below

Please enter your FCR number and date of Birth  and click on the Check foreign registartion detais button

 11.   The Candidate details will be populated as below.Please review andclick on Save and Proceed

12.   You will be requested to fill the registartion form as per below details.

Application fee at this level is INR 10,000.00

 13.   Please make sure sponsor’s family tree as one of the below

14.   Please select document verificaation as in person/Offline or online before submitting the form.

15.   Print the application form

16.  Visit Sardar Patel Engg college for in person verification(room no 108) or call SPITfor online verification.

18. Please visit college web sites on regular basis from March/April. I woud recommend you to visit colleges personally and get more information

19. Most of the colleges have same fee structure for NRI candidates as the open category but kindly get this confirmed before you apply for NRI quota.
